In January 2006, which is when our daughter Christa was born, I took this picture of the northern part of Centaurus culminating over the tree line at our house in King George, Virginia.  Unless you were at a location with a perfect horizon, you would not be able to see Omega Centauri.  But with clear, transparent skies, we can still enjoy the plethora of bright O and B type stars in this area.  Unannotated image, Back
