In March 1993, I drove to Big Bend National Park for some visual observing and astrophotography. This very poor shot shows the rather barren region of Antlia and eastern Vela that straddles the northern part of the far southern Milky Way. I'm not sure if I guided on on this picture, but my polar alignment must have been off and the wide open lens resulted in bloated stars. Unannotated image, Back |
