In 2006, Jupiter came to opposition in Libra on May 4, so in this picture we see the planet a little over two weeks past opposition, still retrograding.
Seems to be a meteor northwest of Jupiter at the end of one of the diffraction spikes, or possibly the glint off a tumbling satellite.
