The spring of 2001 saw a nice planetary gathering in the evening sky, comprising Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury.  Up until the end of April, Saturn is still visible in deep twilight, but Mercury has not climbed out of the solar glare.  Jupiter is magnitude -2.01, while Saturn registers a -0.28 reading, which makes it brighter than all stars except Sirius and Canopus.  They are separated by 12°14'55" but separating each day as Jupiter moves faster eastward than Saturn.  Unannotated image
