![]() Jupiter continues to move east along the ecliptic, each day closing in on the border with Gemini. This evening, Jupiter shines at magnitude -1.99, which is less than its average but still brighter than all stars. Here we see the constellation Orion on the left side of the image, with Betelgeuse and the belt stars prominent. Aldebaran is so low that it's difficult to make it out in the bright twilight.
