The face of the Sun currently features a very large and complex sunspot group, numbered 4079, which according to the article on spaceweather.com is strangely quiet in terms of flares or other disturbances.  This image was obtained with my Nikon D600 and 1970's vintage Celestron C-90, using a Kendrick solar filter.  I colorized the image in PowerPoint to make it a little livelier LOL.  Unannotated image, Enlarged version.
