Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS was prominently displayed in our evening skies during the second and third week of October, 2024. Unfortunately, during its brightest phase, a nearly full Moon brightened the sky considerably, making our view less spectacular than it would have been. Here we see the comet below and left of α Serpentis (also known as Unukalhai) and to the lower right of the pair δ and ε Ophiuchi (Yed Prior and Yed Posterior, respectively). |
