Venus is still racing eastward through Sagittarius, by now totally clear of the Teapot asterism and now horizontally aligned with the Terebellum, the four star cross-like pattern to its left. In six days she will cross into Capricornus, passing just south of the globular cluster M75. On this evening, Venus is at magnitude -4.16 and has a diameter of 17.12" arcseconds, still quite small compared to what it will attain in late March 2025. Unannotated image |
