Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS soars above the west shore of Lake George, NY in this wide angle view showing the sky from Arcturus in the northwest over to the stars of Serpens and Ophiuchus at the left edge of the image.  At this moment, the head has just disappeared below the distant ridgeline, but the tail still stretches more than 5° to the upper left of the comet's head.
