Jupiter, Mars, and Uranus are gathered in Taurus as we move into the second half of summer.  On this August 15th morning, Jupiter shines at magnitude -2.24, Mars at +0.83, and Uranus comes in at magnitude +5.73, which is not much dimmer than it will be at opposition in November.  Even though their conjunction was yesterday morning, Jupiter and Mars are still only separated by 30'40" this morning.  Amateurs all over the world captured this event and posted pictures on spaceweather.com from locations such as Kuala Lumpur, Porcia, Italy, Connecticut, Tonopah, Nevada, and Shokan, New York.
