Although the huge sunspot group responsible for the widespread aurora borealis on May 10 has rotated around to the far side of the Sun, which was visible from Mars, many smaller sunspots are still peppering the solar disk.  This picture was taken in the late afternoon, so north is oriented toward 2 o'clock and we can see that a larg-ish sunspot group is rotating into view from the top.
