Uranus has been in Aries for two years and will soon be caught by Mars early
next year. In this image, I overexposed Uranus too much so that the
magnified view shows pixels that are too washed out, although a tinge of
deep blue can be seen around the top. This is not really indicative
of Uranus' true color. Uranus is magnitude 5.67 in this image, which
should be well within the range of detection with unaided eyes. It has
already been almost three weeks since opposition on October 31.
