Mars, September 2020
Mars comes to opposition in October 2020, so in September it is already
becoming an outstanding sight in telescopes as it retrogrades through
eastern Pisces. Note how it is still quite a bit south of the
ecliptic, but as it retrogrades toward its opposition point it will be
moving progressively farther north toward the ecliptic.

Jupiter and Saturn, September 2020
Jupiter and Saturn have spent the summer of 2020 slowly retrograding westward
in eastern Sagittarius. Now in the second half of September they finally
resumed eastward motion and for the remainder of the year, Jupiter will slowly
catch up to Cronus as they head for a conjunction in December. Note that
they are both slightly south of the ecliptic now.
